This thesis explores the issue regarding whether Japanese English can be considered to be a dialect of the English language. As the number of speakers of English grows, more and more people learn English as a foreign language. A question arises here as to whether Japanese English, Chinese English and so on can be considered to be par with British English or Indian English. This essay tries to answer this question from a generative perspective.
